It is really what a store manager calls "bait and switch". 1. He claimed I wrote an ICCA Journal article that was never written or published at all. 2. I challenged him to produce the journal vol. number, date and pages. 3. He switches to the "match" for whatever reason since no match was ever part of this particular issue. 4. Now he wants a bet to do the match. The problem is, he is not that important. I could probably be convinced to play a GM for a $1000 bet, perhaps, but what would be the point for playing Diep? It's just another program. Nothing special. Nowhere near the top regardless of claims to the contrary. So the only point for wanting such a bet is an "out". Who cares? I watched him get totally out-played and beaten by "bodo" on ICC the other night in a long standard game. After that it seems even more pointless to argue about a worthless match.
