Althought you will not be able to run your commercial software at a competive
speed in emulation
(and depending upon copy protection may not be able to run it at all in
emulation),
With OS X, you have full access to unix and linux software and programs.

The only problem with the laptop, is for a similar price, you can get a 64bit,
2ghz dual process desktop
machine.

Not portable, but should chew up bitboards and spit them out nicely.
