Chess analysis on a desk top AMD Athlon xp 2800+ 2.08Ghz Win XP home Ed.
256MB hash. N/s = 3.
 64MB hash. N/s =1155 to 1165 untill depth 18/18. At depth 19/19 N/s = 1203.

I did not know what was happening and by chance changed the hash value.
In laymans language please what happened?

I did the same test on my business laptop.Compaq Evo N410c.Win XP Prof.P3 1.2G

64MB hash.(Not N/s but KN) 381793 to depth 18/18. At depth 19/19 KN = 101194.

Now N/s and KN are not the same means of evaluation.
Please:what is the difference and especially how to equate the two values.

Alan
