I agree with most of the other respondents - go rebel. The interface to the
program is a bit on the clumsy side (when compared to Fritz), but I like it's
playing style much better. In fact, I like Rebel 9's style better than that of
Hiarcs 6.

Virtual chess also has a very human-like playing style, but it's interface is
very buggy.

Hiarcs 7 may be another matter entirely.
