How about concluding that the Capablanca sacrifice was sound because White
wasn't busted afterwards? A sacrifice need not "create problems for his
opponent" to be sound. Any particular opponent might be very good, and have no
problem handling the resulting position -- that wouldn't make the sacrifice
unsound.
