The spelling is _anthony_ Vincent. I know english is not your first language but you could at least try to get my name right :) 2. I don't claim to be at the chess level of Martin / Vincent / Vasik (all 2200-2400 FIDE IIRC). I have about a 2050 ICC standard rating which probably translates to 1700-1800 club rating - maybe less. 3. Even at my less-than-exalted chess level, a lot of the moves Deep Blue played are obviously bad. g7-g5 to me seems like a bad move for several reasons: A. Why drive White's knight away from h4 ? B. Opening kingside pawnstructure is usually a bad idea. C. White's B2 bishop just became a monster. D. Black should be playing in the center in this position. I don't claim that any of the above is correct, just my thoughts :) Anyway, as I said before, no one will ever know exactly how good Deep Blue was. But looking at the games does not inspire much confidence . . . anthony
