On the Mac, I use QuicKeys for things like this, and I see QuicKeys is now available for Windows, though I haven't used it. There's a 30-day downloadable Windows demo at: http://www.cesoft.com/quickeys/qkw/qkwhome.html I find a lot of chess programs work more nicely after a little modification one way or another. For example, Gif-gIf-giF (at www.peda.com) is useful for recording the evolution of the PVs for programs that don't log this information conveniently. Gif-gIf-giF is available for both Mac and Windows. Richard A. Fowell
