CM, Fritz, and Rebel (I only have Decade, still pretty good) are all great programs. They all have features the others lack. If you can only afford one program, then you look for what features you want most and purchase the one that fills your needs. Fritz may not fill everybody's needs (lacks: more personalities, customizing playing style, tutorials, Waitkin's terrific annotated games), or Rebel (no Windows, etc.), or CM (lacks instant analysis, poor book editor etc.). I don't see why a particular programs' features, or lack thereof should not be expressed. If a program fulfills most of an individual's desired features, then there is no "wrong" choice. PS: CM would be doing themselves a great favour if they marketed more games annotated by Waitkin (sold separately) for CM6000. One on openings would be a hit!
