Well, I pointed out that I didn't know the solution - sorry for my misunderstanding you though. Your newly provided facts suggest one or two tests though. a.) First set the hashtables to something little enough that they won't be an issue at all , say 32 MB. => I expect that the problem will still show up. Otherwise you know that you had set them too highly before. b.) Copy your own book to the same disk where you installed the Shredder program, and use this copy for a test. => I wouldn't be surprised if this made the problem go away, in case a.) didn't help already. It's possible that there is a bug in supporting books on different disks as this is not so likely to get tested by beta-testers. Or maybe it is something else altogether :). Peter
