His exe is smaller than mine probably due to the Whidbey compiler, and the fact
it is an MS compiler. I use the Intel compiler, which makes the exe bigger, but
seems to not cause as many problems with different machines.

On a side note, I get almost the exact error message when running Slate's exe on
my machine. Yet have no problems with mine, or Mike's versions.
