We kick  off the second series with a medium difficulty question:

Please name the first dedicated chess computer that offered a program in
modular(cartdridge)  form, that could be used in several different auto-sensory
boards depending on the buyers budget.

the buyer could use the program module in an inexpensive plastic board or a
medium sized or larger sized wooden board

HINT:it is not an obvious answer
