hi Fernando
i could not possibly agree with you more!
the man not only  is an icon but he deserves  far more credit then he recevies.
instead he remains in the shadows while other programers that biult upon his
work bathe in the warm glow of sunlight.
he INVENTED THE VERY FIRST machine to play chess that could be sold to the
public and  was also the first programmer to invent the "talking"feature seen in
many of the older computers and he invented the use of motion detectors as seen
in the Fidelity Eyeball Chesster Phantom(model 6126)

i have had some small contact with him over the years and he seems to prefer to
remain private and let others receive all of the accolades that are rightfully
his and his alone.

many of the chess programmers we see here all of the time ,owe their very
livelihoods to this maverick in the field and i would bet BIG money many of them
do not even know his name
