Is 'a piece of crap' better? ;-)
It is a remark used to poke fun at a design flaw. I don't have CM6000, but I do
have CM5500. Position analysis with this tool is 'a piece of crap' but better
than none at all, I suppose. I think the CM series is a bargain on price
anyway, if you just like strong play. But it does have a lot of missing
features that others are not lacking. Of the commercial products, I like Rebel
10 best, though there are also places for improvement there. Chess programs are
so inexpensive, a serious chess player could buy them all. So buy them if they
suit your needs. But pointing out shortcomings -- even in a somewhat derisive
manner -- is not a bad thing. It gets the attention of the consumer, does it
not? If those features are irrelevant to you then you probably won't care much.
 If they are crucial, then you will take notice. In short, for CM:

[cough] Database/Opening book editor --> piece of crap
[cough] Analysis features --> piece of crap
Strength of play --> absolutely excellent
Ease of use --> very good
Value pricing --> very good.

I don't think I will buy another CM product, despite the price and strong play.
Others might think that they are the best in the world. To each his tastes.
