Your reasoning only works because you are using Fritz in your example, and we don't have a 64-bit version of Fritz yet. Replace Fritz with Crafty in your example, and you'll see what I mean. When you factor in cost, the 32-bit chips may still be the best choice, but saying they will be equal in speed to the 64-bit system is not entirely accurate based upon your example using Fritz.
