Considering the self limitation in price it seems like you would have a hard time beating an Athlon 64 system performance with an Opteron one. As for the service part. You have factory warranties on your parts. So unless you do something profoundly stupid you are covered. But there isn't any prompt service to be had. I don't know the sevice deal of IBM. Will it be swift enough to help you if the machine crashes during the competition? MvH Dan Andersson
