Sorry, I am in office and can't check but there is no need to be 4x faster.

15min<->18min is 20%. I admit I haven't investigated much the differences
between the sizes of hash. Explanations and experiences for the size at which
time control are well known.
But 20% seems OK for me. Another point is that faster engines would profit more
from larger hash tables.
