I tried to ask it in another forum but did not get reply that I am satisfied with it until now. see http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=98875 I want to get the following lists as a start: 1)List of parts that are relevant for the speed of the hardware. 2)List of parts that are needed but are not important for the speed. I see that there are a lot of irrelevant details for me When I try to look at pages like http://www.pcmech.com/byopc/step/1/ Example: I do not care about things like Sound Card They say about it: "An absolute necessity in today's PC world" I do not see how sound card may improve the performance of chess programs so I do not see why it is absolute necessity. I may buy things that are not necessary only if they are a small part of the total price of the PC. they say: "Read the reviews, as there are a lot of sound cards out there with special features" I think that I am not going to read reviews about it and if I buy something I prefer to buy the cheapest thing that let me hear if the computer move(this is the only advantage that I can see for computer chess). I do not like to be wrong about parts that are necessary so I do not want to guess things about it. I hope that you can do better job in giving me advice relative to the job that people did so far in the second forum that I tried when I got only a single reply that told me that speed is not important for chess.
