Marc, You mentioned your 6-man Rook + Pawn vs. same database used some other convention, which format was it? Is there an endgame format conversion utility out there capable of transforming this into the familiar Namilov format to allow it to be probed in RAM during runtime? Do you know of any projects seeking to solve a practical subset of some databases, such as Rook + h + f pawns vs. sole Rook? Any response would be greatly appreciated! --Ed
