Nonsense is a good word. I find books offer very little to a good chess program.
I have found books I have made from Master level game play as well as Shredders'
book or Fritz books.

I don't think there is such a thing these days as a Killer book. Atleast not one
that will maintain a higher level of performance for long.

Personally I did not find anything great about Shredders book. When I played
Fritz Vs. Shredder and changed books to let Fritz use Shredders book and
Shredder use Fritz book. The Results were the same. Shredder wins by a slim
margin.
