IIRC Opteron 248 == 2.2 GHz, Opteron 246 is 2.0 GHz, and Opteron 250 (if it's
already out) is 2.4 GHz.

You can get the specs at a bunch of places - for example www.amd.com.

Basically your NPS should go up in the neighborhood of 10% from each 24(x) to
24(x+2).

Also note that two singles will be a bit cheaper than one dual.
