I did another porting test today and it turns out that the 400 MHz K6-2 compile
time for Symbolic is now up to 25 minutes.

It could be worse.  In the old days, it took nearly an hour for my 1986 vintage
Macintosh Plus to compile and link my earlier and much simpler program Spector.
