>Perhaps I should be in the hands of a shrink, my friend? chess is a cruel mistress my freind i am never certain if the thrill of victory is more powerful then the dreaded agony of defeat for me i think the emotion caused by defeat is stronger then the happiness of Victory but of course i do not play at near master level so i cannot know the feelings you must feel all i can say is when we lose to a computer we do not have to suffer the added humiiiation of seeing a smiling face in front of us a small consolation i know..
