Could you please explain? Thanks in >advance. There are some programs that do not play opposite castling formations very well. Ruffian is one of these, and I think that Crafty belongs there as well. Thus when making the opening book for Ruffian I try to lead it into posistions without opposite castling, which is perhaps something that Bob tried to do. Junior, Hiarcs, and, to some extent, Shredder are very good in opposite castling formations: they play "purposeful" attacking moves. Even Fritz does that, drawing on its excellent pawn push algo...
