Side note:
Anyone think it would be interesting to create a site that goes through the
steps of creating a basic engine. Basically something like tscp, but go through
each piece of code, explain how they interact and how each piece functions.
Think this would be beneficial to anyone starting out. Basically break it down
into modules.
* Start out with a barebones. (have different cores based on the different board
representation styles (bitboard perhaps as a start)
* Show barebones with x pruning algorithm
* Show how you can use multiple pruning algorithms together
* How to add xboard compatibility
* How to add egtb
Just an idea.
Sincerely,
Joshua Shriver
