I had the same problem. Instead, go into DATA, Enter database, UTILITIES, Load
PGN-database (or enter PGN-database, if one is already loaded). You can then
select a directory and file. After selecting the file, a list of the loaded
file name(s) will appear on the screen, click once or twice on the pgn file
name, and it will load. I have successfully loaded my single xxxxx.pgn files
here. Therefore, under the UTILITIES menu you are able to load PGN files and
PGN-databases.
