Has anyone ever produced a list of the most important terms to be included in an evaluation function? I realise that I could get one from digging into source code, but I was looking for something a little more digestible. Any thoughts? As a start I would list- 1 Material 2 Mobility 3 Past Pawns 4 Issolated Pawns 5 Double Pawns 6 Square of Pawns 7 Centre control 8 Rook on open file 9 Rook on 7th 10 Material pinned? 11 Backward pawns Has anyone ranked a list of evaluation terms?
