Marc Bourzutschky's program, as run mainly by John Tamplin with some production help from Marc, has generated all 3-3 & 4-2 P-less EGTs to the DTC/Z and DTZ50 metrics. The EGTs are Nalimov-format but your engine does need to know that they are DTZ and not DTM metrics (otherwise it tends to recoil from making a capture at the last moment). The DTZ EGTs are 56% the size of the DTM ones, and this will go to less than 40% - maybe 35% - when the P-ful endgames are done. The EGTs are usable - manually - at http://chess.jaet.org/endings/ Here, all 'Ken Thompson DTC endgames' have EGTs visible - except for 6 which could well soon be 'except for 2'. This prodigious work by Marc and John is a continuation of the work reported by JT and self at the ICGA Conference ACG10 in Graz last November. g
