Back up just a bit.
"book.bin" is a large book made from some 2M PGN games.
"books.bin" is a very small book that "guides" crafty to make certain opening
choices. If there is no suggestion in books.bin, then crafty reverts to the
normal "big book (book.bin)" and uses its normal selection logic to choose
moves. Crafty uses books.bin against humans.
"bookc.bin" is the same as books.bin, but it is used when Crafty knows it is
playing a computer (ie xboard/winboard tells it this when a game is started).
It is _this_ file (bookc.bin) which doesn't suggest c5 for black in response to
1. e4.
books.bin includes the Sicilian because it is primarily used in playing humans.
