Thanks, Keith. Hmm too bad the rooks won't work upside down...

My only computer now is a very old Fidelity Chess Challenger with 1" squares
which remembers all the positions and can thus operate with most any (tiny) set
of pieces.

Yes, looks like you're right, there is a guy with very nice bargain Grandmaster
sets on Ebay, wonder where he got them all wholesale so cheaply :)...
