Hi, I also play games as black (black pieces at bottom) using Star Diamond and sometimes I need to load saved games. No problem here. Please, try the following when you load saved games played as black: New Game--Load Game---(a1-h8, the place you saved it)---Color Now you are at the end of the saved game, hit "Restore" to begin and go through "Forward" until the position you like to analyze or continue.
