Not more obvious, but more practical sequence 1) Ctrl-N to open new game 2) Shift-Ctrl-S to setup position 3) Ctrl-C to clear board 4) drag pieces on the board and click Ok 5) Ctrl-T for evaluation or Shift-Ctrl-T for variation If some hotkey doesn't work you need to download the latest version.
