I encountered the problem when using Crafty 19.13 with the Winboard GUI, so that I wrote in my first post that Crafty analysed the position as a draw, as this is what I saw. In fact what happens is that Crafty outputs not much at all (just stat01), which then apparently is interpreted by the GUI as draw score. This problem occurs with: Crafty 19.13 compiled by Dann Corbit (downloaded one week ago) Crafty 19.13 (no-sse version) by Slater Wold (downloaded 13.5.2004) my two own Crafty 19.13 compilations (with MS Toolkit Compiler) It does not occur with: Crafty 19.6 compiled by Dann Corbit my own compilation of 19.6 with the Toolkit compiler (and identical flags to my 19.13 compiles) from the above it appears unlikely that this is a compiler problem. All these Crafties above run with full 5 piece EGTBs. Computer is a Athlon 2400+.
