Hi Eric
When talking about CM9-settings I only mean such settings
which are based on an orginal CM9-GUI-Setting. And among
those CM9_R1 (Wilhelm Hudetz) is perhaps the best overall
setting I have so far seen. At longer time controls - 40'/40
and slower (higher) - CM9_SKR is a very strong setting. Both
these settings have been thoroughly tested. There are a lot
of other settings posted here but for none of them have I
seen enough games against various engines. We are almost sure
that we have in the meantime found a setting (CM9 T05) which
may clearly be the best thing we have ever created for longer
time controls. But our testing is still going on. Some results
at 40'/40, ponder=off, 5moves.ctg, Fritz8-GUI, 3-/4-men EGTB:
a) CM9_T05 vs List 512 = 18.0/30 (score of 60 %)
b) CM9_T05 vs Fritz 8.0.0.26 = 18.5/30 (score of 62 %)
c) CM9_T05 vs Shredder 8 = 17.0/29 (score of 58 %)
d) CM9_T05 vs Aristarch 4.41 = 10.5/18 (score of 58 %)
e) CM9_T05 vs Junior 8 = 9.5/18 (score of 53 %)
f) CM9_T05 vs Hiarcs 9 = 6.0/10 (score of 60 %)
g) CM9_T05 (90m+30s) replay of our RK 2004 (1st place after 56 games)
We are therefore very optimistic about the outcome.
