I copied your FEN to the clipboard and pasted it (using F6) into Arena. Then I under Game, I clicked Analyze... (Shift+Crtl+A). After the Analyze completed normally message, I looked in Analyses.log. This is what was there: Analysis from Untitled userid - Crafty 19.10b, KS0003, 2004.06.07 6/7/2004 11:38:14 AM Level: 60 Seconds Analyzing engine: Crafty 19.10b 0 of 0 matching moves 6/7/2004 11:38:18 AM, Total time: 12:00:04 AM Rated time: 00:00 = 0 Seconds Nothing else was displayed anywhere that I know of. This is crafty.rc: log on tbpath=..\TBs egtb on cache=4m drawscore=0 hash 32m hashp 4m book on book random 1 book width 2 resign=9 learn 7 learn .33 -2.0 computer exit The tbpath is actually c:\progra~1\chess\tbs, but it works the same way if I specify that. I also have c:=\progra~1\chess\tbs as a command line option. Dave
