I just got an email back from Stefan Meyer-Kahlen about the PLR file, for Shredder 8, below is his response to my email, which is below that, it squashes some rumours about the file being book dependant, also, is it ILLEGAL to trade plr files? any copyright laws being broken? Dear Mr. Paquette, the learning in Shredder is not book but program depended. If you play with a different line you don’t often get the positions on the board Shredder has learned with a different book however. Yes, its limit is 8 MB.
