I agree especially if you're using Visual Studio you could just use XML DOM and voila :) I wrote a small PGN parser, but it was pretty generic and really only handle a couple key fields and the moves. I see that if you wanted more information such as comments or analysis information this could become a problem. Your comment on just adding a <annotate></annotate> tag would make it a lot easier. Alas I see the difference. More power to you guys or whomever wants to develop this further. If there is an active project up, I'd be willing to help out if it's an OSS project. It shouldn't be to hard to whip together a pgn->xml translator. Especially if you just use the field names as the tag names <site><white><black><date> etc.. Sincerely, Joshua Shriver
