hm I can'T follow your logic: You say Rd8 is a bit weaker but does allow to play
the right move Re3! a few moves later, but you are still saying that you have
found another solution. This seems to me illogical. The best move is Re3 but
there is a zwischenzug in the position which allows to play Re3 later. So it
seems clear to me which is the best move.

If you wanted to prove that Re3 is not the only move which wins you maybe right,
but that does not contradict the fact that Re3 is the best move.
