Go up one level in this thread
KK, you keep making comments like "This is the single most important way to train", and "Every strong player does this". You keep implying that we several Masters don't know as much as you do about these things, but you aren't even a Master yourself. Since you seem so intent on proving this, here's your chance. Please find a recognized Master (FIDE, Canadian, USCF) who will go on record and agree with you and discuss this further. You have said that every Master does this, but so far the majority of Masters who have commented on this disagree with you. Isn't it an amazing coincidence that out of the thousands of masters the world over who do as you say (since you say that they ALL do it your way), the only three who disagree with you (in the entire world?!?!) (four, counting my friend who isn't amember here) are right here to post their comments? And that only one has come forth to agree with you? Don't you think it's more likely that four Masters (who are serious tournament players, all of us experienced with computers) perhaps know what Masters do (since we are them) more than someone who has never been one? KK, we have taken the time, dedication and effort to become Masters. We know what it takes to do so. We know how we train. You haven't and don't. So please stop with the condescention. You know how you train...that's great...it may well be a valid method, but it certainly isn't the only one, and since we're Masters and you're not, perhaps our training methods are have worked a bit better. Why are you so invested in proving that you know better than us what we are Masters at? There is one way to do that...become a Master yourself, using your methods....then tell us about it. After all, we became Masters using ours. Until then, your credibility is becoming more strained with each strident post of yours. Chris Dorr USCF Life Master
