"Grandmaster strength" and "2500+ rating on the SSDF list" are not in any way
interchangeable.

However, given the historical performance of the top engines against GMs in the
last few years, I would say that any of them, coupled with your "ordinary
hardware", would definitely be able to give a low-end GM a good fight.

Let the arguments begin.... :-)
