I have Chessmaster 6000 and Chessmaster 9000 and I play serious chess ONLY with the 2D layouts, actually I use the 'flat' 3D sets in Chessmaster 9000 in the overhead view mode. Chessmaster still lacks a really good totally customizable 2D board and pieces. Terry
