This depends on the speed of your processor, amount of RAM, etc. Check the analysis depth; I'd shoot for a minimum of 12-13 plies and then set the analysis time accordingly (for example, I have a Pentium 133 -- 90 sec./move does it for me). > 2) I have encoutered moves in annotations like "Xxa7", and symbols like "-" >(bold). Can you explain what they mean? I belive the first one means "weak point on a7". The second one I'm not sure of (I'm not exactly sure what you're seeing). Possibly the "null move" symbol? (If you want to put in an annotation without a normal sequence of moves, like a note to White's 10th move that suggests a White 11th move without putting in a 10th move for Black, you hit CTRL-ALT-0 [zero] to get a "blank" move for Black). Is that what you're seeing? > Thanks in advance, and I enjoy your Articles on Chessbase website. I find them >very helpful especially for Fritz/Chessbase users. Thanks for the kind words!
