It is essential to FRC, that no type of extensive opening preparation should be possible. If you will choose only between the 18 possible Pseudo-FRC positions, that would have the effect of creating something like a rudimental opening theory for those 17 new positions. But that is not at all the idea behind FRC. It would be more welcomed, when a strong but truely FRC aware engine would be existing there, which could take the honour to be an elected opponent to GMs. Regards, Reinhard.
