Well, the few results I have seen indicate that Frenzee really *is* stronger
right
now.  I cannot find out for myself before you release a Linux or Mac OS X
version
(hint, hint).

Of course.  It seems to me that a very high percentage of comp-comp games
are decided in the endgame, though.

Certainly stronger than WB1, because Gothmog doesn't even support protocol
version 1.  However, there is no difference at all between Gothmog as a UCI
engine or Gothmog as a WB2 engine.  It might be more comfortable to operate
in UCI mode, but it will play exactly the same moves.

Of course, the FRC version will only work in UCI mode, because there isn't yet
any FRC support in the xboard protocol.
