Thanks for all the replies they were very helpful.
It was interesting to see that there are quite a few variations on a theme as to
how to implement pawn hash tables. Anyway I think I now have a clear enough
understanding to tackle the job.
Getting back into understanding my 6 month old code is going to be a bit of a
struggle, at least pawn hash tables should be a guaranteed speed up, even I
can't manage to put in hash table code and make it play worse !
Hmmmmm, hope I dont regret typing that last sentence :-)
