Subject: Does Fritz 8 or Shredder a stronger program?

I have both Fritz 8 and Shredder 8 and I can't figure which plays stronger. I
really think Shreder 7 played better and these 2 have too many ways to have it
play better, but not explained enough. I already know about the ratings list and
I'm confused. I realize it's not going to be a lot stronger, but I'm beginning
to think there are too many ways to set it and not enough information to set
them to play and analyze the best. Anyone who has advice as a chess computer
programmer and experience with these 2 programs
