There've been many issues of En Passant (the Canadian equivalent to Chess Life)
with an article: "Komputer Korner, with Alan Tomalty".  It is no big secret, and
the ratings you gave are correct as of the time I am posting this.

While his own rating might not be as high as yours or mine, I think he's spent a
fair bit of time associating with some of the IMs (e.g. Deen Hergott, Tom
O'Donnell) who have manned the CFC office from time to time.  You may or may not
recall that he organized the Hergott-Hiarcs match in the not too distant past.
So it's possible that some of the advice he gives to people may be forwarded
from people who play chess much better than I do, to say the least.

But I suppose he can speak for himself better than I can, so maybe I'll end
here, and let him do that. :-)
