There is the CCT, which is more-or-less annual and usually takes place towards
the end of January. The record of the last one (CCT6) is here:

It's worth putting in the effot to attend a WCCC event. Although CCTs are
fantastic fun and very friendly, it's a very different experience to meeting
other programmers in person.
