I am now able to use Fritz 5.32 the way ChessBase planned it (?). No music for me (ever) - well, I can live without it. If I am extremely lucky and/or clever (no way of telling which, it changes every time), I can use the 3D board (again, I admit that I do not need it like the air that I breathe) with very low preset hash tables. The point I would like to make is that I never, ever, have any problems of this kind with Fritz 5.16. I can (within reason) more or less do what I please. Hardware: Pentium II MMX 266 MHz with 64 MB RAM, Matrox Millenium II AGP graphics card (was considered pretty good a year ago when I bought it). I truly wonder whether ChessBase is presupposing that anybody seriously into computer chess must have 128 MB (at least) of RAM by now?
