Since I'm the only programmer on mine I just have a directory called archive, and after I do a decent bit of coding I'll tar.bz2 it up with a version number usually the date olympus-061704.tar.bz2 and store it on a second HD and memory key. CVS is nice, SourceSafe is a pain in the butt. Last place I worked, my boss was adamant about using it.. till a ton of code was corrupted and still couldnt figure out what happened within SourceSafe. I've also heard that "subversion" is a good new system. Haven't tried it though. Sincerely, Joshua Shriver
