The Amazon is a Queen + Knight combined. The Chancellor is a Rook + Knight
combined. I am not sure what you are referring to in the first part of your
post.

I never claimed the Chancellor was "new". How could I when Pietro Carrera had an
80 square variant with this piece in 1617?
